Some Nigerians currently facing corruption charges
With the ongoing anti-corruption war of the Buhari administration, Nigerians have called for the extension of the war to states of the federation.
Currently, the administration is probing the now popular $2.1b arms deal involving former National Security Adviser, Col Dasuki.
Others fingered in the arms deal include PDP’s spokesperson Olisa Metuh who is facing a seven counts of money laundering involving the sum of N400m, part of the $2.1bn arms fund which he allegedly collected from Sambo Dasuki.

Also linked in the arms deal is the former Sokoto state governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, the AIT chairman, Raymond Dokpesi, the former minister Bashir Yuguda, former PDP deputy chairman, Bode George, Nduka Obiagbena.
Other Nigerians currently been tried for corrupt practices are former minister for petroleum, Alison Diezani Madueke, Director general of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Patrick Akpobolokemi (Nimassa), director general of Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, Emeka Nba.
In an e-vox pop conducted by Naij.com Nigerians want the anti-corruption war extended to states including Lagos, Osun, Kaduna, Borno, Rivers amongst others.

Reacting to the vox pop Michael Ekebi, a Facebook user said; “Imo state ex govs Achike Udenwa, Ikedi Ohakim, Rochas Okorocha. This is my state. And let all of us be honest about corruption and call a spade a spade by mentioning these thieves. We don’t need proof because all the evidences are there glaring and stating at all of us.
“Unless we do not want to accept that they are dodgy because of they are from our region and so on, or that we are pretending to be fooled. Either way corruption will never end in Nigeria until we the masses stop covering up for these thieves.
“I support Buhari for his fight against corruption but for him to win or make an impact then he has to be prepared to go deep and probe some people in his APC party as well because most of them were in PDP and embezzled a lot before joining APC before and after the elections. They can fool some of us but they can’t fool all of us.”

But Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo has denied claims that the government is selective in the anti-graft war.
“If you feel no anger or sense of outrage over the reports of massive corruption in the land, then you must be suffering from an indescribable delusion. We see houses being seized. Looters are not denying ownership. Yet, some are still tweeting in their favour. What has happened to some of us?
“And for those crying ‘selectiveness’ , where’s your outrage first against the thief that has been caught before you raise the alarm over some escapees?” Keyamo queried.
Efforts to reach out with presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina for comment was unsuccessful as his telephone line was unreachable.
